2007 was an exciting year for SoSure, in which we realised the idea of offering online backup based on IBM’s hardware, software, hosting and IT service from our website and via our global partners’ distribution channels.
As chief executive for a number of companies over many years, I have worked closely with IBM on various projects and I have long held an ambition to bring IBM’s thoroughly tested technology to everyday consumers, as well as small and medium-sized companies on the global market. Therefore, in close cooperation with IBM, SoSure has produced a shared solution with the aim of bringing Continuous Data Protection (CDP) to the broad global market. SoSure’s usability experts sat down with IBM’s development team at the beginning of the year and since then we have worked intensively to develop a product that combines IBM’s thoroughly tested backup technology with our user-friendly interface. We are now proud to present a solution that makes us the first to provide a user-friendly backup program that is 100% based on IBM’s thoroughly tested, high quality technology.
At SoSure, cooperation is the foundation of our future growth and distribution to new markets. Therefore, we are offering you a partnership with SoSure, which will enable you to deliver the world’s best, easiest and most secure backup to your customers. As a partner with SoSure, you can offer your customers dependable IBM security with all of the support and help you need from SoSure. We assist you with marketing materials such as brochures, product pamphlets, user manuals and website texts in the language you need. Our flexible program also means that we can easily place your logo into the program so that you can offer online backup to your customers directly from your website and your other distribution channels. We will make it as easy as possible for you to get started with meeting your customers’ needs for securing their digital assets.
To begin with, we are focusing on establishing partnership agreements and allowing our partners to sell SoSure Backup through their existing distribution channels; later in the year, we are also planning to launch sales from our own website.
Status of SoSure Backup
It is with great satisfaction that we can guarantee that the completed backup program will be ready for delivery in the first quarter of 2008. At the time of this writing, we are testing the final aspects of our back-end together with our partner, IBM, and our servers are being prepared in an IBM Application on Demand hosting centre in Toronto. Our completed back-end will be ready this month, at which time we have planned a launch in the US through one of our global partners’ distribution channels. As we establish our back-end in other geographical locations, we will be able to offer your customers in these new areas user-friendly and thoroughly dependable IBM backup.
Later in the coming year, our plan is to establish hosting sites with IBM in the UK and Asia.

Over the course of the past year, we have travelled around the world and introduced our idea and product to a wide range of potential partners. We have been pleased with the overwhelmingly positive reception with which we have been met. In the new year, we look forward to establishing additional contracts with distribution partners and we hope that you will join us in bringing SoSure to as many customers as possible all over the world. At SoSure, cooperation is the foundation of our development, and we see you as an important part of SoSure’s future.
We have produced Standard Terms and Conditions and a Privacy Policy, which enable us now to design a customised partnership agreement that fits you and your needs – all to make it as convenient and easy as possible to meet your customers’ needs for a secure and simple backup solution, which you can provide directly from your website.
We have also developed marketing materials, which we are proud to present. Please be aware that all materials are in Beta and that changes may be expected.
